Ravebo has designed and built a vent gas scrubber for an international chemical company for removing hydrocarbons from a gas flow. The scrubber is integrated into the production line for discharging ships and shift on to trucks and train cars which leads to the dodging of gas. If there is harmful, toxic or (strong) odor-carrying gasses or vapors, they should certainly not be freely emitted. The responsible for the installation shall ensure that the outgoing gasses or vapors are removed from the harmful components.
The scrubber is, due to its versatility and wide scope, one of the most widely used techniques because the scrubber due to its’ intrinsically explosion safety can be placed directly at the emission source This means that no extensive ventilation pipes or ducts are needed, which means that the whole system is compact and therefore relatively cost effective. In addition, a vertical tank scrubber has a very small footprint which means the ingested space on the jetty or the quay is limited. A scrubber is as a result of its construction highly applicable for both continuous and highly fluctuating gas flows which are often inherent in badge processes.
Due to the solid and simple construction maintenance is kept to a minimum and therefore reliability is guaranteed. For use as a vent gas scrubber for storage tanks, containers and other type of vessels in tank parks this type of scrubber is also excellent to apply. It is even possible to carry out the scrubber mobile because of the compact construction method and therefore the scrubber can be sufficient for the entire tank park.
