The activities of Lawter in Maastricht are producing several kinds of resins, adhesive resins,  soap resins and directly related products. These products are mainly used in the ink industry, adhesive industry, synthetic rubber industry and paper industry. By producing the above mentioned products iodine is used. Due to a worldwide lack of iodine after the disaster with the nuclear power plant in Japan, Ravebo has developed a special wet scrubber with an integrated fan, in very close cooperation with Lawter. This special developed scrubber for recovery of iodine assures Lawter that there would be no danger that the production has to be stopped due to the lack of Iodine.
